AKC PUPPY OF ACHIEVEMENT ~ April 21, 2019
On April 21, 2019 as a part of hre work in the 4-6 month old puppy show ring competition Luna is named “AKC Puppy of Achievement”. Luna just got a major at Ladies Dog Club today, June 1, 2019 owner handled.
Luna turned six months old and entered her first, full fledged AKC dog show conformation competition and Minuteman Samoyed Club’s Annual Specialty April 20, 2019 (above show photo right). She won Best Puppy under Saturday’s judge, Judi Elford, one of Canada’s most accomplished Samoyed breeders. Luna was handled in breed both days by Debbie Studwell, a well known professional Samoyed handler. Katie handled Luna in the Sweepstakes competition and Group.
The youngest competitor, Luna won not only her puppy class, but Best Puppy both Saturday and Sunday. Plus she placed 4th in the all over Puppy Competition Group (all working dogs) on Sunday. This is a terrific accomplishment for any puppy – but for one of ours? Monumental!

“Tough day today. I was out walking with Mom and Dad and I smelled a field mouse. I zoned in on it, did the Arctic fox leap in the air, plunged earthward and caught it. Mom wouldn’t let me eat it. So I got no dessert today. Nerts. Now I’m pooped.”
